Note from designer

I designed The Goddess Dress while in lockdown in Marrakech. I left New York in a hurry as borders were shutting down and grabbed some fabric to bring to Morocco to keep me company, hoping to find a sewing machine. Not knowing I was going to be stuck there for nearly 5 months, I only took a small amount of fabric, and I couldn’t find any anywhere. I started to reduce the amount of fabric I used per piece as I had no idea when I would be able to find more. At that point I had only a couple yards of silk left and I wanted to make the best of it. I came up with this dress. It uses a single piece of fabric with a design solution that maximizes use of the whole piece with little leftover. It took me a little while to perfect it as the pattern seems simple but is actually quite precise.
